On the 27th of September, 2015  students, parents and teachers from the 25th and the 1st primary school of Volos practiced their skills in archery.

This activity was inspired by the “Reversed sport classroom” and suggested by Greek school teachers. The aim of the activity was to bring closer parents, students and teachers in order to discover the fun and excitement of bows and arrows.

At a first step qualified trainers in archery provide basic instructions to the participants. At a second stage, the participants were actually encouraged to practice archery. The activity concluded with a discussion about traditional archery as well as movies and literature in which archery and archers come to prominence.

This activity aroused the interest of other school communities as well (i.e. the school community of the 11th, 13th and 1st primary school of Volos), which join the group of parents, teachers and students of the 25th primary school of Volos. Based on teachers’ observations, this was an enjoyable experience for all and there was high demand for repetition.
